Our main aim when putting an outfit together is to help the person next to us move as quickly as possible from looking at us to listening to what we have to say. We have a message to deliver, and we want to help our customer / client / boss in the most efficient and effective way.

When I take myself apart and put back together, I am starting to know my shapes and what styles work best on me. It helps me get more objective and I don’t get caught up in the never-ending comparison game.

‘What colours suit me?’

As a personal stylist, this is a question I regularly get from my clients. Today, I’d like to talk about neutrals. All we wanna do is wrap up and hide under the covers. And that’s when we want to opt for a neutral colour, like beige.

As a personal stylist, I can feel a lot of overwhelm and anxiety in the voices of my clients, who have to return to the office, or to face-to-face meetings, and they are completely out of touch with their work clothes and presentable wardrobes, as they’ve spent the last year and a bit in joggers.

There are 2 types of fear: FOF - Fear of Failure and FOMO - Fear of Missing out. Fear can make us do impulse purchases when we shop for clothes online or in store. As a personal stylist, I’ve got a few ideas on how to tackle this.
